Happy Mother's Day to all mama's. If I must say so myself, we are all Goddesses!
I have had my share of challenges with my two kids, especially Hunter my little one. He has had multiple health issues since being welcomed into this world 3 1/2 years ago. And I have been pushed in many directions to seek the best care and the right care for him. While all that I know about health and wellness has come in handy, it doesn't change the fact that I am still a mom with a kid with health issues. And it pushes me over the edge sometimes.
Two years ago, I was blessed to meet a mom who had her share of challenges too. While she came to me seeking guidance, something unique happened in my expert-client relationship with her. She offered me friendship. Neither of us are quite sure how it all unfolded but I can tell you this—Erica Reid's journey with her children (who are both older than mine) gave me strength in my young mothering life.
Erica has two children but she recently "birthed" a third—her first book, The Thriving Child. And I had the honor of contributing my expertise to her incredible tale of motherhood. NEWS FLASH—after reading all the "motherhood manuals", it is not possible to be prepared for the HARDEST job in the world. Erica was faced with many challenges and through perseverance and "out of the box" thinking she found the right care and the right care plan for her kids. And as a result they are both thriving! Her strength gave me strength.
By asking a lot of questions and going against the grain (so to speak), I have taken Hunter from sickness to wellness. Erica has done the same with her son Addison. As mom's, our jobs are never over. Around each corner lay challenges but also possibilites. Erica's book is about those possibilities.
Treat yourself to the The Thriving Child. You won't be disappointed!!!
