Outdoor Adventure Nutrition
September 13-18, 2015
Three Mile Island Camp
Lake Winnepesaukee, NH
Learn how to support and enhance your outdoor adventures with a whole foods based food and nutrition foundation that can help you reach your summit. This 5-day program introduces participants to all three phases of outdoor sports nutrition:
- Critical concepts that differentiate healthy performance and recovery;
- Food choices that provide optimal support; and
- Cooking methods that allow you to truly nourish yourself and your family.
Join John Bagnulo MPH, PhD and Culinary Nutritionist Stefanie Sacks MS, CNS, CDN in this food exploration and culinary adventure that is bound to shift your ideas about what healthy meals and snacks look like for outdoor enthusiasts. Centered on anti-inflammatory, antioxidant rich and cardiovascular supportive foods, you will learn how foods can work for you rather than against you, for the optimal outdoor experience.
Each day includes a combination of nutrition lectures and hands on cooking classes. There will be ample free time for enjoying all of the activities the island has to offer. This week is just what you need to recharge your body and mind for the next outdoor season (or to recover from the most recent one).
