In 1999, Stefanie created Nutricook, a three-phase program to help prevent illness and restore health through nutrition therapy and culinary guidance. Stefanie’s knowledge and skills as a professional chef and nutritionist enable her to address such conditions as:
• allergies
• asthma
• autoimmune diseases (celiac, fibromyalgia, hashimoto's,
lupus, mixed connective tissue, multiple sclerosis,
rheumatoid arthritis..)
• cancer
• candidiasis (candida)
• diabetes
• gastroesophogeal reflux disorder (GERD/heartburn)
• hypertension
• hypo/hyper thyroidism
• irritable bowel diseases (colitis, crohn's)
• irritable bowel syndrome
• kidney disease
• overweight/obesity
• polycistic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
• parasites
Stefanie works with doctors and dietitians at several practices throughout Manhattan including the Beth Israel Continuum Center for Health and Healing, the Eleven Eleven Wellness Center and the Hoffman Center. She is happy to work directly with your practitioner to provide you with the most comprehensive wellness program.
Tailored to meet your specific needs, Nutricook is suitable for adults, children and families.
phase one—initial evaluation/food counseling
The consultation takes place in the comfort of your own home. In this one-hour session, Stefanie will address:
• goals and objectives
• food/health history
• culinary knowledge/capabilities
• kitchen set-up/equipment
• current food product choices
Together we will determine the best way to design a program to meet your specific needs. You can move through the entire Nutricook program as is, or we can devise an alternative program that is more suitable for you.
phase two—shopping education
Over 15,000 new food products are introduced per year. In addition, the media offers an abundance of conflicting information about what is healthy and what is not. Thus, it is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate your way through the maze of food and food products in the grocery store. Stefanie will lead a private 90-minute tour of a local natural foods market to address your personal questions and concerns, as well as topics such as:
• Natural, whole, organic foods—what are they
and why are they important?
• What are the tips to buying fish, meat and poultry?
• What kind of oil is healthy and why?
• What do the food labels really tell us?
phase three—hands-on cooking instruction
Based on the initial evaluation, Stefanie will create a Program Menu tailored specifically to meet your dietary needs. You will learn to cook, through hands-on instruction, in your home.
Nutricook comes with an introductory package containing resources, a Program Menu and personalized recipe book.
Become an active participant in your own healing process!
