CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR FOOD, NUTRITION, HEALTH & CULINARY PROFESSIONALS
"FROM NUTRITION PRESCRIPTION TO THE LIVING KITCHEN -
MOVING FROM THE HANDOUT TO THE PLATE"
Developed and hosted by Amanda Archibald, R.D., with Stefanie Bryn Sacks, M.S. (Nutrition)
When clients leave our counseling sessions with recommendations and information, how do we really know if our suggestions are practical enough for their lifestyle, kitchens and even their palate? In this dynamic, thought-provoking workshop, we'll use interactive lecture, case studies, discussion, tastings and culinary demonstration to examine the effectiveness of our assessment tools and our recommendations. We'll look at food therapy versus nutrition therapy; how to match up culinary guidance that compliments the food and nutrition recommendations we make; how to take the consumer on a more personal, practical journey from our nutrition advice to their own plate. Leave this workshop with new ideas, tools and solutions that will enhance your business and your reputation!
This is a hands-on, interactive, experiential workshop designed for accredited food, nutrition, health and culinary professionals. We recommend that participants have had a minimum of 2 years face-to-face counseling, teaching or culinary instruction with consumers.
